Description

Parrot Parrot is an iPhone app for learners who want to study Vietnamese from text they already have, like messages, posts, or short passages. You paste in Vietnamese, choose your language pair, and the app gives you a full translation plus a word by word breakdown. It is most useful if you like learning by picking apart real sentences instead of following a traditional course.

The main draw is speed. Instead of manually looking up each word and then building your own study deck, the app turns sentence breakdowns into flashcards for you. The App Store listing also mentions Read, Write, and Ask modes, vocabulary management, duplicate merging, and progress tracking. You can check the listing on the App Store.

This is a good fit if your main goal is reading support and vocabulary building. It is less useful if you want a full beginner curriculum, speaking practice, or clear dialect focused instruction. The free version includes limited AI translations, while the paid plan is for heavier use. As a study helper, it looks practical. As a complete Vietnamese program, it is much narrower.
