Description

HelloTalk is a mobile app for finding native speakers and practicing through real conversations. If you want to use Vietnamese with real people instead of just doing lessons, this is the main appeal. It works best for learners who want speaking and listening practice, but beginners can still use it because the app includes translation and message correction tools.

You can chat by text, send voice messages, make voice or video calls, and join Voicerooms or live events. The app also lets you search for partners by language, location, age, and other filters. That makes it useful when you want informal Vietnamese practice and exposure to how people actually write and speak. You can download it from Google Play or the App Store.

The tradeoff is that HelloTalk is not a structured Vietnamese course. You will not get a clear curriculum, so your progress depends a lot on who you meet and how consistently you practice. The community side can also feel more like a social network than a study app, so you may need to filter actively to find serious exchange partners. The free version is usable, while VIP adds extra features and flexibility.
